Irma (Ida Eva-Anna) Schultz Keller was born in Södermalm on 1 October 1965 and was raised in Mariatorget. She is a Swedish actress and pop singer who has appeared in many movies and television series in Sweden. Irma studied at the Theater workshop, Stockholm Film School and Theater School in Stockholm. In 2002 she was awarded with the Riksteatern scholarship for her work with the Norwegian playwright Jon Fosse's play ‘Someone will come’, according to herself “one of her greatest artistic challenges”.

She has acted in American productions such as the horror movie ‘The Resurrection of Michael Myers Part 2’ and the miniseries ‘Xerxes’. She starred in many theatre plays, like ‘Pearl Harbor’ (directed by Henrik Wallgren), ‘Hair’(directed by Ronny Danielsson), ‘Rendez-Vous in Rio’(directed by Anders Öhrn) and the cult musical ‘The black rider’(directed by Richard Günther).

As a singer, she has made five solo albums and participated in many other music projects like ‘Songs for December’ along with Uno Svenningsson. In 2007, Keller and Uno Svenningsson performed in Melodifestivalen and made it to the second chance round with the song ‘God Morgon’.

Irma has a son, Norton, together with Ola Pihlgren. Irma’s sister Idde Schultz is also a singer.

What do we think:

PR: Irma is a very sympathetic gril with great, typical Swedish looks. Her records contain high quality pop songs, a lot of them (co)written by herself. The songs are uncomplicated mid- and up tempo songs, very light and listenable. She does not have the best singing voice, but she knows how to use it perfectly and the songs are obviously written with her smaller range in mind. If you want to explore some typical Scandinavian pop music, Irma's records are a good place to start.
